International activities

International standardization

KITH participates in activities associated with international standardisation bodies when new standards are expected to have significant consequences both for Norwegian suppliers and users.  Drafts for such standards are subject to national consensus hearings.

KITH follows closely the work carried out by CEN/TC251, but also has contact with ISO/TC215 and HL7.
 
On behalf of WONCA International Classification Committee (Wicc), KITH maintains a web page for ICPC-2e.

Participation in networks and programmes

KITH is member of EHTEL - European Health Telematics Association
 
KITH participates in EU-financed thematic networks:

• CALLIOPE for eHealth interoperability
• EHR-QTN for quality assurance and certification of EHR systems
